Domain Transf. Question

Sorry but this might sound a little silly but........
If you trans. a domain name do you loose where you are on the search engines i.e like your wiped clean as you are starting afresh with a new hosting site...

No. If you keeping the same domain name - and just transferring between hosts then nothing will change.
