How do I stop spam in Horde

Hello, from Phil.C

I use the Horde webmail in CP. I've created a newsletter subscription form and set up an e-mail address specifically for it with an Auto Responder Reply. (I also created 4 other e-mail addresses in Horde ie contact etc.)

All it seems to work well. My question is (finally they say, ha ha) how would I stop spammers sending e-mails and would my Subscribers be safe from spam using Horde? I've noticed a lot of people recommend Aweber, would this be more secure?

If you have your email address on your pages, whether as a text link, mailto: link or even an image link, spammers will mail you - it's the nature of that particular beast. Your subscribers are safe - spammers can send you mail, but they can't use your address to send mail.

It's not Horde that causes the problem as you'd see the same thing using any email client, it's the spammers who cause the problem.
