Help with linking pages

Hi..I havent as yet published my website, however, im trying to link the pages together but cant seem to...Is it suppose to be pulished first before i can link the pages? Or can i link the pages without it been published. If it is possible to link pages without it been published how do it do it? (i did go through the tuturiol which had a http:, where as mine files are saved in my folders)

You can link your pages before you publish, but the links wont work until you have published the pages.

if your domain is called mydomain.com then you would link your index page
to another page like so:

http://mydomain.com/anotherpage.html

publish both pages and the link will now work even in preview mode....
