help with email please

I set up my email account via cpanel, using the click-here option to configure with Outlook Express. The auto-responder works and I get that email every time I test the email link on the last line of my contacts page on www.british-cemetery-elvas.org

But I don't get any of the testing, testing emails. What am I doing wrong?

I'm using a forwarder to my personal email address, which is configured with Thunderbird. Could there be a conflict there with OE?

I tried to configure my contact email link with Thunderbird but didn't know what to do with the smtp without upsetting the default setting.

If anyone can tell me in simple English what I should do now I'd be most grateful.
