Why set up POP account in Outlook?

Why do I have to set up my new POP email account in Outlook if I am not going to use Outlook for my emails? I would rather keep all business emails in Horde.

I receive emails for one account that I created there (in Horde) but not the other two.

    Thanks,

You don't have to set up your email with outlook ... it's okay not too - just log into horde mail ...

perhaps you did something wrong when you added the other two web (horde) email addresses ... delete them, readd them and try sending mail and logging into them again ...

      Thanks,

I receive mail in the other two now but not from the related sites. These are the contact emails for the sites:

I checked the links and they seem to be correct. mail to not http.

both are voda hosted and in your account? And you have created the email address for each of these addresses in your control panel under mail .. ? And you tried to send yourself an email and you do not receive it? Can you send mail from these addresses and does it arrive?

If I send mail to them from my Yahoo account they work.
If I send mail from my Outlook they work.
If I use the link at the bottom of the site they don't work.

In fact, they DO work (providing the 'links' are properly written).....but have probably not yet been processed: since the "mailto:" function relies on Outlook/Outlook Express to format and process mail, unless you have Outlook or Express "open" and functional at the time, it will simply send these emails to your "Outbox" to wait upon the next time you open Outlook for them to be "Sent".....guaranteed you have a stack of mail in your Outbox waiting to be sent.

okay ... i found your page ... this is what is typed in there ... you need to change this ...

                  //info@h-denterprises.com

remove the two slashes on the link on your webpage, and check the other, might be the same problem....

It's at the bottom of all the pages, in the footer.

                    also the same with http://www.h-denterprises.com

Yes, same problem with enjoythebirds - read my post - two posts up

However, you might consider taking the linking off of this on your page, an email address like that is just waiting for spam to attack, lol ... instead just have your email address as something that can be copied and pasted ...

                      or

consider encrypting your email at www.dynamicdrive.com

                      or

                      consider Navals contact form

These would be better options for you ...

As well, if people do not have outlook on their computer as their default email, this will not open for users who only use msn, hotmail, etc.,

Yes, that is what I mean, do not link to your email address. You don't want the spam crawlers, which there are millions, lol, well I don't know how many actually but they are all bad, lol, nasty, but they would pick up your email address and you would not like your mail.

Yes, so while you are reading the other possibilities, I would take the linking aspect from your email address off ... everyone can copy and paste it into an email and it won't be harvested ...
