sending mail needs certificate accepted each time!

I'm using Thunderbird and each and every time I send mail I have to accept the vodahost certificate again. I have searched but can't figure out how to stop this. I read a previous post by someone else about the same problem but can't quite understand what the fix is. I have three sites on Voda and sending from any one of them is the same. Isn't Voda my isp?

      Yes, okay, I'm an idiot!
Now another idiotic question: how do I find and change the settings with my isp which is my cable internet provider. When I look at my email settings under "tools - account settings" all my web mail addresses are there. I tried adding the numeric identity of the smtp of the cable company I got from the IP chicken site as my smtp, no luck. I removed it, then I added it to the list of accounts but then I can't send any mail at all.
By the way, I had no problem til I switched to Thunderbird.

in tools, accounts, find the email address, hilite it, then select properties. I dont use thunderbird, but it should be similar and have tabs.. call up your isp and find out what all outgoing settings should be on ALL tabs.. some of them require you use a different outgoing port with the settings saved so you dont have to authenticate each email you send. They SHOULD provide you with this information no problem.

YOU ARE PAYING THEM to have email and internet access, probably 10x what it costs them to give it to you.. so dont let them squirm off the hook.

Thanks, I'll do that, as soon as I have an hour or two to spend on hold!
In the meantime, I'll just keep accepting the certificate each time.
          Thanks for your help.
