email comes and goes

ive been having this problem for a while, i use outlook, my wife and daughter use live mail, all my other email addresses from other servers work fine, but our emails through vodahost (we have 4 total) are very inconsistent, some times they work sometimes they don't, we get a server error that just says failed to connect to server, but i can go to vodahost directly and login just fine

any suggestions?
