    Lost Files??

    Greetings All,

Question: I did a couple of pages of a web site that I'm doing on my desktop and placed them on an external drive. Took the external drive and hooked it up to my laptop, opened BV to do a little more work on them and all the images are gone? I've checked the path to make sure that it leads right to the hard drive (under properties) and it's not showing up.

In BV it states"no image found", but when I click on properties, the path is correct? Any ideas?

Did you save the images to the external drive too?

Is Blue Voda running on the ext, or is it another instance on the
        second computer?

          Oh!

I'm not sure how an external drive works but I would try copying my images to the BV folders on the laptop (to the folder that will ensure your images show up as they do on tour pc). If that doesn't sort it, Ironman, then maybe someone else can offer the solution. Good luck.

OK, I'm going to respond to the both of you.

Ladies First (girlonthehill), I've kept everything in a file on the hard drive. BV pages, pics, the lot. And when I save the page I "save as..." and make sure that it's path is to the hard drive. I've even gone so far as to move the images to the default folder that opens when you what to save something (my docs...blue voda...images) but still isn't working.

Lovethatbluegrass, No. I have it installed on each computer that I'm using.

I'm guessing here. I think the links are broken when you use another
instance of BV. I've experienced the same effect. If you had downloaded
BV to the ext. and always run it from there while you were building,
I think you'd be ok. Maybe one of the Generals could enlighten us
because I wanted to do the same thing.

              Wow, three stars 'Girl'... whooooo!

I hope so because it is a real headach.

Thanks for the input. Sorry that I'm not the only one.
