    Unexpected File Format

    Help!
I went in to Blue Voda to update my website & ALL the files were gone! So I went onto FTP no files in blue voda folder. I connected & copied all files from FTP into my blue voda folder, but when I try to open them i get a box that says unexpected file format! Can anyone help? I have recently upgraded to IE 7 (full version not beta) so I uninstalled it... what a mess! anyway went back to IE 6 but still no joy. Still cannot access the folders.

any ideas or suggestions gratefully received

    a desperate pigletxx

Try re-downloading and installing BV again.

I would suggest that you restore your computer to a date prior to all the files vahishing. If you copy files from the server back to your Blue Voda
folder on your computer you are copying html files. The BV web builder is designed to open and work with bvp files. That is why you are getting the unexpected format.

Pick a date that you are absolutely certain all files were there and then restore the computer.

is it a particular file will not open or is it bluevoda as a whole?

That was a lot of work.
If restoring your computer to an earlier date (per Andy's suggestion above) doesn't work and your trash bin is empty, you will have to load every page from the web. There will be some tweaking as some elements will be out of place.
Once you have saved and published your work again, make a CD back up of the complete folder.

Blue Voda will open with a new blank page & it will let me open a new page from an existing HTML, but it will not open any of the saved pages I have.

I backed up website all on my external hard drive, but it won't open the files from there either!
