    How To Make It Snow

    Hi all,

I have a program which creates snow on your desktop.

    Desktop Snow
Snow falls gently on your desktop as soft music plays. Transparent
    File Size: 634K

I would like to use it on my christmas page www.bubbeesbeads.org/christmas.html
but don't know how to get it onto the page....

I tried the html box.......but that did not work. Neither did the text or image areas.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Mindy

You can always create a snow effect using your marquee.

Use the asterix * and set your marquee to come down.set bacground to default and then set speed.

Make your marquee narrow(to only allow the aterix)Copy and paste this marquee marquee numerous times and place alongside each other(over an image is ideal) but adjust speed for each marquee to allow for this snow effect.

You can also bold the asterix in some of the marquee's to give a forground effect to your snow.

Please remember that not all visitors like these effects.....it sometimes covers your text or images. I have heard that some people simply click away pages who have to much of these effects, that's why I'm telling you.

GJ, I agree with you - effects like this should be used in moderation - or on specific type sites - like naghosthunter's -

I stay away from all the tricks and fancy stuff on sales sites - don't want to alienate any potential customers.

            Mindy,
A lot of users do not like that sort of movement. Per above, used in moderation they can be helpful.

                You will need Macromedia flash.

Here is a link which was done so beautifully.

Jacquie Lawson has made animated ecards for holidays, birthdays and many other occasions since making her first online Christmas card featuring Chudleigh in 2000. Her online greeting cards are seen by millions and are among the most artistic and complex ecards on the Internet.

Jacauie Lawson does greeting cards, and so you'd expect that kind of thing for a card. We are talking a SALES site, so theres a difference zuri!
