Please can you help me.
If I receive an email from (?) through my web site, is there anyway of retrieving their IP address so I can check where they are from etc through my stats.

Yes view the source or properties in the email, (you may have to change a setting in your webmail to view headers) it should be in the header, and you will see the ip listed and then you could go and try to match up with your stats where it is from, but you could also check the ip address through this link. http://www.arin.net/whois/ it will not tell you who, but will give you a basic area .....
