    Help with centering on page

Hoping for some help...I'm sure there is a simple solution I have yet to discover. I get all my text and graphics centered nicely, then hit preview with browser and find everything off kilter. What can I be doing differently to fix this problem? Thx in advance!

Re: Help with centering on page

    Hi Debi

The usual page width which allows all surfers to view without sideways scrolling is '800 width ... set your page width to '800, set a background color and tick center in browser ... this should center everything in everyones browser. This can all be done by right clicking anywhere on your page and selecting properties, there you will find the tabs for these functions.

    Hope this helps ....

Before you publish, remember to recheck that you page width has not moved from the '800 mark and lock all, then save and publish to your public_html directory.

The easiest is to click your own name and you will find a pop up menu that will let you find all your own posts, etc. ..... try that too!!

          Thanks! Will do!
Still playing with the 800, center in browser thing...
Some of my stuff is being stubborn about centering like I told it to.

Debi, try using the Layout button in BV, for each element.

Re: Help with centering on page

Bv is an absolute coordinates WYSIWYG website builder, which means that you cannot have automatically resizable page width. However, you can center your pages, and use a background color in your pages to fill the blanks. On the other hand, you can use Soholaunch, which is autoresizable.

It can be viewed, however some users may see a horizontal scroll which is very annoying. The vertical scroll is no problem.

The problem with 800x600 is it is to small for todays computers. You will have empty spaces on both sides which are wasted space. Why do two pages when you can do it in one. I prefer to set my pages @ 1100w x 1000h the height is not really a criteria as the page will automatically extend itself when you pass the 1000h mark. At 1100w when you preview in IE with a 17" screen, the page will fill up almost the entire width of the screen.

                          Thank you for your advance,Zuriatman..
Yes, I think it's wasted space and bad looking and not professional either, because almost all notebook now had a widescreen, even not all my buyer had notebook..
Maybe i better make it in Soholaunch..
I just wondering why Soholaunch can make Auto Screen ?
Hope BV can make it either :) Soon :))

Anyway thank you for you all and "Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2007"
