question changing my titles on pages

if i change the titles of my pages in page properties will this mess up my web site. I was going to change the titles of the pages so they will be more enigine search friendly. I didnt want to create a duplicate page on accident. I thought it was better to ask first.

any other suggestions would help........i think i have read every post to this

It will help your website if each page has it's own title - and it's own distinctive description and keywords.

It will hurt your website if all the page have the same info.

if i change titles will it mess up links on other pages ect. via menu bar? and will it create duplicate page it i make the changes and hit publish?
