    Testing Site ??

My domain is http://www.specialties-distributors.com but I haven't published my own site yet. Still working on it. What you see at that URL is a site I am working on for a friend who will probably transfer his domain to VodaHost once his site is completed.

Is there a way to upload his site/pages to my domain (maybe as a sub) so he can see what I am working on? Even if the links won't work and he has to enter the page names manually to the URL. I would like to get my own site online as soon as I am finished with it but also like to show to my friend what his site will look like. He lives in France and I in Barbados.

    Yes.

Just make a subdomain and publish your friends website under it.. or you can even name the page something like

Search engine for classified ads. Post ads for cars, jobs, housing, for sale, dating and services.

and he will be able to access it by typing in the address.

Steven, I have created a sub which has become www.[friend].[mydomain].com. I have also added an FTP account with login name and p/w.

Using the original server IP address for [mydomain].com with new login name and p/w r I can't upload to the sub....

        What am I doing wrong??

Yep, I looked at them before but it wasn't too clear to me. I was under the impression one had to use the logon and p/w as established via ADD FTP account.

By trial and error I saw that one has to publish with original username and p/w to folder public_html/[subname]

So, can I now delete the additional FTP account I created as it seems I don't need it?
