pdf files

can anyone run through the proceedures for adding pdf files to my website for people to download brochures?

1.which file do i upload to? ( i though it was the public_ftp)
2.do i just then put a link to that file and will it then end in .pdf or .html?

1. upload the files to \public_html (using BlueFTP from the Tools menu)
2. create a link like this: http://www.electricalwholesaler.org.uk/doc1.pdf
