Is space on a page only 800 x 600, it seems

I have lots of little problems and this is mostly because I am not very computer savvy.

It seems as if I have to squash everything in to this shallow measurement. Is this 600 the full lenght of the page?
    would appreciate any help. thanks

No it is not, actually the most common would be 1024px, however as there are a lot of users still at 800px, use the latter if you can. Users tend to be turned off by horizontal scrolls.

The vertical (600px) is a guide only. As you enter more information or images your site would scroll vertically - not a problem. Just dont make it too long.

Look at page properties to set width and length, but check it again before saving and publishing. You can also use the button guides in BV: Layout>Guide Settings to see your margins.
