Need help with Domain Name

What does it mean when your domain name inside the control panel says Error on it. It blinks RED. I can not seem to get my site published. It looks to me that my domain name as www.crittersnackem.com has already been taken, because there is a portal of some sort on there? Can someone help me out please?
