  • upload to ftp

For some reason when I try to upload to ftp and into my video folder my file goes into public_html folder. Even if I move to ftp public_html/videos, the file still goes into public_html folder. No matter what I try, I cannot seem to get it into the videos folder which is a subdirectory of the public_html folder. I also check subdirectory box when I move the file from local to ftp. Please help!!!

    Re: upload to ftp

Publishing and uploading are two seperate operations.......

To publish to a sub folder/directory
    use public_html/subfoldername

    to upload using BV FTP
select and drag the required file from the left hand side screen
    (your computer)
to the right hand screen(your website - after selecting the sub folder/dir)

        Re: upload to ftp

I should be clearer. The problem is that I can get it into the public_html directory but not my subdirectory (videos)

First double click on the videos folder so that it opens, then drag and drop.
