uploading

Hi,
Can any one tell me why when I am uploading a page I seem to get file names that do not belong to that particular page. They are file names I have uploaded from other pages. This is slowing down my uploads quite allot.
Most of the pages I am publishing have 6 thumbnails and one larger file of about 616x432 pixels. These pages take around 1-2 minutes to upload.
I am running on broadband.

Do you have a link we can look at? Impossible to tell unless we can see it.
