Re: How do you passoword protect your pages?

There are three ways of password protecting a part or all of your site:

    1. Using a password protected folder. With this method, you create the passwords ans usernames, and let users (members) have them. This method is used when a limited number of users will use the site. Look at http://www.vodahost.com/DemoDemo/cpa...pdirectory.htm

    2. Using a membership / loggin script. With this, members signup themselves and define their own username / password. Activation of the account can be automatic (at registration) semiautomatic (Admin's approval) or email activated (they receive an email and click on a link to activate: a method to verify email addresses). Such script can cooperate with a payment verification module. Look at http://www.dbtechnosystems.com/logginexamples.php

    3. Using Soholaunch's groups, if you are using Soho.
