Sorry, I am being very thick. I know how to upload a file, I just don't know where from! Where is the guestbookdb.php file?
thanks
Trish
Hi, you are not being thick at all. It just hasn’t been explained very well. I took a stab in the dark & just named a blank BV page to “guestbookdb” & changed it to a php page, published it to the same folder & all seem to work fine.
Must admit I was experimenting with having more than one guest book & couldn’t get another one to work? Naturally the others were placed in other directories.
Hi Chris
You seem to have a handle on the guestbook feature. Can u please ry and help me out.
i created a BV page, added the guestbook, and followed the tutorial.
then i saved and published my page
when i then checked my file manager i could see the guestbook.php file.
at this point when i visit the page on the web i am getting a blank spot where the guestbook should be! - I dont know why that i
as for the guestbookdb.php file i couldnt find it at first.
then i did what u mentioned above.
I created a nw page in BV changed its properties to be a .php page and saved and published it.
but nothing has changed for me
what am i doing wrong?
i dont get it, i have managed to follow instructions for all other features but this one, so i really dont know what it is!
thankx
Hi Chris

LOL! Me!
I had it working once. But I have never been able to install it again & get it to work properly. There were no clear instructions on installation.
I was told to upload a file that was in the BV folder which wasn’t there, and then there was a guestbook.php being confused with a guestbookdb.php
I also believe that some are getting spam, which these days no G/book should have this problem. So I took mine off my site & gave up. At the end of the day it should be,
Place G/book on page & publish.
Realy sorry I can’t help. Hope you have more luck than i did.
