    checking page functions before publishing

website: www.freedomcovenantcenter.org is almost ready for publishing. Is there a way to check the function of my drop down menu and other hyperlink buttons before actually publishing to the web??
    Thank You

go to Tools, Verify links, and then click the Verify Links button to get the job done.

AmaDee, tried your suggestion, however it states url not found.
Should the site be published before checking??

yes, as the program is going online to make sure the links are working. If that's not the solution, I don't think there is one, but I stand corrected.

That's a thing that I asked myself before:
Why does BV not allow to check your site, links etc. before publishing?
It cannot be that difficult to organise in BV but it would help some of us (like I, me and myself) very much.
            What's the reason behind?
            Thanks.

Your statement is not accurate, you can chack a external link by previewing your web page in browser and clicking on the link. The only way to truly make sure that an internal hyperlink is functioning 100% correctly is to publish the page and click the link.

Links in BV are absolute URLs. You can NOT check links between your pages before you publish them, because your links simply do not exist yet. You only exist after publishing.
