making transparent link areas on bitmaps

Is it possible to make transparent link areas on parts of bitmaps.

I do work a lot with Coreldraw and create flyers with a lot of special fonts that i don't want to use in the webeditor because almost nobody have these fonts in their system.
So after creating the flyer i save it as a bitmap and then i want to import it in the website and create then link areas on the special fonts.
How is that possible in BlueVoda?

Create a tranparent gif (10x10 for example) and put is above the bitmap and resize it to the required size. Next define a link for this transparent gif(s).
