Vodahost and Joomla

Hello

I am in the process of downloading Joomla in an attempt to build a more robust web site. Can i park Joomla somewhere on my vodahost account and what would be the best way to set it up to access it for testing so it doesn't overwrite my existing blueVoda web site?

Joomla is already semi pre-installed on your account, login your to your cPanel and click the blue smiley face.
