    Banner links....html

I'm placing banner links on my site and a few are html text where I don't have to save the graphics but just copy and paste the text given me anywhere on the page and the related banner should pop up.

I have copied and pasted banners and related links fine if and when they are simple and am able to view and open them in browser preview but trying this same route with the more detailed html links gives me a broken link when viewed.

I've tried manually entering the link in html...java...hyperlink. I've tried pasting them in the body and the banner ends up in the far left hand corner of my web page. This is about the only time I can see it in browser so I must be getting close.

    an example of a link <a href="<A href="http://www.gamingclubpoker.com/rfbpromomontecarlomillions2005__s||aff100396__b=gc p_120x060_074"><img">http://www.gamingclubpoker.com/rfbpromomontecarlomillions2005__s||aff100396__b=gc p_120x060_074"><img src="http://www.ClickedyClick.com/ads/gcp...20x060_074.gif" height="60" width="120" border="0" alt="Real Players, real time, real Poker!"/></a>

    my website www.elitegaming.ca

P.S. Is there a more detailed explanation of how to use the HTML tool (if this is what I should be using) in BV because I'm just not getting it.

    Please help...
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Are you sure that you copied the banner link that they sent you properly?
I can notice a number of descrepancies in the above link that would explain
why it does not work properly.

Sarah: It's not just this one link. Every link over a certain number of words and I try to cut and paste into the http:// hyperlink box doesn't take. Can it be all these links given by chosen affiliates are wrong? Amazon.com is another one. They're links they service once entered on my page so updates to their store are made automatically..by them.

      Thanks
      Mary

I am a online gambling webmaster with a enormous amout of information. Add banners the simple way. Go to your affiliate site select a banner save as a picture to my pictures. Then copy the html code to your notepad. Open up blue voda then open my pictures drag and drop your banner into blue voda double click the banner and enter the link along with your affiliate tag leave out the <a href part the link will not work using this, unless you use the html option. from your note pad only use for example:ww.maplecasino.ca/index.asp?btag=AfBtag942208001

I left out the http://w because I did not want to cause a link but include it.

Another thing being a gambling affiliate you want good browser support. Things such as marquees, phase pages ect.. lessen your site of being viewd by everbody. Second you want your page to be sticky, meaning most affiliate links target _blank this enables the visitor to stay on your page.

But anyway, my finger are burnning. I hope this is helpful. pet121

After looking at your site and viewing the source code ect... Don't take this in a bad way I am just trying to be honest and help a little. Being a gambling affiliate is very demanding. I spend roughly 10 hours a day at my computer. I learnt by trial and error and lots of researching. I find a enormous amount of errors on your site. The errors are fine if it didn't involve online gambling information. For example, putting borders around your affilate banners may violate the terms and conditions of your affiliates, for text, only use verana, arial or times roman, the marquee is nice but not browser friendly. But hey, its not all bad, I takes alot of guts to start such a project, congradulations. pet121

First of all the above is not a hyperlink and should not be treated a such. It should
be treated as a html code snippet. I have added the exact above code to a page and it
            comes out all messed up.

Sarah is right its html. I am affiliate of this group tell me where to go and I will review the code. Just to add blue voda is excellent for building these sorts of site. Making changing is very fast I can outpace any competitor.

                pet121..my gambling site

                Thank you!!

May I use your expertise? My site is only about 3 weeks old and this is my first website. I'm devoted (10 hrs/week is all I'm able to give right now) to making it perfect and work but have a setback in that I'm also a novice to html.

Would it be ok to discuss via email? If so mine is mday8@cogeco.ca Please feel free!

                Really appreciated.

Yes Mary I can help you alot. The area you are venturing into is very competitive but with knowledge you should have no problems. Begin by the realization that blue voda has many advantages over the other competitive websites. For example, changes can be done in a instant. I challenged a fellow webmaster how fast we could change the background color of our sites. It took me about 20 seconds him about 30 mins. Its all about patience being a gambling affiliate and being willing to learn. Yes it does pay! feel free to email me.
