a game website

hi,its my first time trying to build a site,am trying to make a free online games website,so i made my simple page,now am trying to add a game to the site i click on the java icon and i add the game but when i preview the page the game dose not show up,so my question is do i have to first get a domain name,and get them uploaded to the server?

let me know if am doing anything wrong...
