Menu Bar dissapears below picture

I have a vertical menu bar setup on the left hand side of my page. I have it setup with sub menus that slide, however; I placed a picture to the right of the menu bar and the sub menu items are dissapearing underneath the photo when I hover over the link. How can I keep the menu on top of the photo so that visitors of my site get to see the links? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Right click on the menubar in bluevoda and click move to front.
