You could add one if you like - there are gobs of them online if you google it.
But your control panel, under FTP/Stats - Awstats has that and much more for you to use, and it is free as part of your hosting account

You can use StatCounter as well. It is free and just remember to make it invisible.

Y make it at all?

1) They look tacky
2) They don't actually count visitors
3) You have one of the most advanced stat packages within your CP
4) I don't actually have a fourth point.
