What is a Cron Job and what is it used for?

cron jobs is a service that is run on servers is capable or running a command at certain times. It is mainly used in unison with a script such as a php script.

Basically you can set a cron command to execute a webpage file at specific times all day every day, once a week, once a month, at midnight, whatever.

Its more of an advanced feature you don't have to worry about unless you need it. (in which case you would know you needed it)

Most websites don't need a cron to be run at all, you don't really have to be concerned with it
