    removing threads

How long does a thread stay posted?
    Can I delete a thread?
I messed up and posted to many in one forum and had it moved here.
    Did not mean too!
If the forum only allows one thread can I delete the old one and post a new one?
    any response appreciated

    Re: removing threads

The thread to which you refer was originally posted in the wrong forum: Moderators and Administrators routinely re-position mis-placed threads which are composed out of place, such as a technical web question in the Lounge, or a question about adding elements to a BV page in the Showcase.

    >> Each Forum has it's own specific set of Rules posted at the top as a "Sticky" to better allow you to know what to do (and not to do) and how to better post your contributions or inquiries so they conform.

You have a window of opportunity to edit or delete a thread or post for only 15 minutes from the time originally created/posted (that's why after you make a post or thread you see the "Edit" button, which if you click upon you will see at the top of the dialog box the option to delete: you need to click and confirm). After that, only a Moderator or Forum Administrator can modify it.

Congrats you are about 1% that actually cares enough to find out how to post before going off and posting whatever wherever.

        I salute you!

Wait a minute am I allowed to salute someone of lower rank?

        Well, welcome anyway. :)

            No problem!

And Penny is right on.....very few ever offer acknowledgement for a reply, which often adds to the tedium of participating for long periods, you know??
            LOL

Hang in there.....I am desperately looking for a way to "retire" permanently!

              I think I understand vasili
You have probably helped a lot of folks!
A simple reply for help given is the least someone should do.
              Thanks

PS. I remembered how to edit a word within the 15 minutes as you described in a earlier post. LOL
