How do I know what to cron, or what path or what file should I run a cron on.
      http://www.raceme.biz is an auction script.

Check the instructions for the auction script. It should be a specific file.

        It should be something like

http://www.raceme.biz/cron/events.php (note, this isn't the actual link, just an example of what it should be)

You have to check the instructions, (not just to find the file, but to know how often the page needs to be executed)
