Duplicate photos listed in ftp

The site is http://www.homespunways2.com

While looking through the published pages in FTP, it was evident that many images are listed more than once. I think this happens as pages are corrected and republished - right?

The question is, can delete the duplications without causing a problem to the published pages? I would consider doing this because the list is soooo long. Thank you for any input.

Republishing a page should not cause duplications of pictures, unless you have somehow alterred the file names.

If you delete them and it it was the incorrect one, you can simply republish the page. Or else: Instead of using the easy-to-use FTP, you can always use the file manager in the cp. This way you will have a recycle bin for easy recovery should you delete the wrong ones.

You are so right. It seems that I always make a big todo about the most simple things. I appreciate your reply.
