  • I know its a stupid questions but.....

How do you change the URL link for the whole page? I cant seem to figure it out only with specific objects.

It's starting to give me a headache cause I know it's so simple.

I am not sure what you mean. Changing the whole page URL means simply saving the page with the new name and publishing again. I.e., if you already have a page with URL http://www.yourdomain.com/aboutus.html and you want to change its URL to be http://www.yourdomain.com/who_we_are.html

simply save the page as who_we_are and publish it.

And, please note that this is a volunteer forum, everyone here provides help when and if he can, so please do not rush anyone here because you have not got an answer 13 minutes after you posted.

Re: I know its a stupid questions but.....

You do not change the domain name. You simply publish your page in your account, and it automatically goes under your domain name. If you are publishing in an addon domain, simply publish in the folder public_html/addonfoldername and it will automatically go under the addon domain name.

Are you publishing to a VH account ? or are you trying to publish in a non VH account ?

I have not yet purchased a VH account plan. I plan to do it in the near future once I get my website all in order.

I recall doing something yesterday where I actually modified my domain name. www.FiltrexSystems1.com is what I edited for the index (home) page. I have looked everywhere in the program and I can't find where I had edited it.

This is only for the links to your own pages. When you link a whatever object to a page, you click on the hyperlink tool icon, and in the URL field you type www.FiltrexSystems1.com/pagename.html . The same for all types of menus.

Sorry for the double post but is there also a way to extend the size of the Navigation Icons?

Ok, Here is what I SPECIFICALLY want to do.

I want to Connect a button with an entirely different page. I looked at the tutorial but I am still confused. Please elaborate.

My apologies but I am not to most computer savvy person. I know a good deal just not as much as I would like.

As said: in the Link dialog box, type the full URL (http://www.domainname/pagename.html ) that you want this button to link to. Replace domainname and pagename with the real ones of the page you want to link to.

I believe that you need to watch again the Hyperlinking tutorials:

Fixed Menu Bars - creating and editing - MUST WATCH

Sliding Menu Bars (Drop Down) - creating and editing

Linking your pages together (Hyperlinks with text, images etc...)

Creating a Go menu (hyperlinking with a drop down menu)

Creating Text Only Menus - Google Prefers These.
