    New Domain Name-1st page

One thing I am finding out about working with BV is how helpful people are on this forum. If you ever forget to thank them, you should take time to occasionally do so.

Anway, I am starting on my second domain name. It seems rather obvious but after learning the hardway on a couple of things I now prefer to just ask...no matter how silly it may sound.

Anyway, does the home/1st page under a totally separate URL domain become a new index page for that web site?

Seems like it would but again, I am not one to assume.

Thanks again folks for all your help and asistance.

    Hi Sandy

Yes you are absolutely correct. Be sure to follow the tutorials for adding on a domain - an add on domain is a domain name that you purchase separately and can add to your existing voda host account.

Also, on your own computer, prepare a new folder within My Documents/Blue Voda to store the .bvp files and more you create for your new domain. This will ensure you do not save or overwrite any of your files that might have the same name.

To publish your files to this add on domain, publish to public_html/nameofnewdomain

Thanks Lady Eye. I thought so but I just wanted to check.

Already have it in a separate folder.

Also, thanks for the heads up on the separate public_html. That would have caused no end of angst!!

        be public_domain/www.nameofnewfomain.com

        or just public_domain/nameofnewdomain

I am sure it makes a big difference.

        Thanks
