Media Player Not Working

Hi,
I have media player on my website to play some music samples. I am getting emails from people saying that they arent working. Im trying to play mp3. What other alternatives do I have to using media player and why do you think they may not be working? Is there some type of listening system that doesnt require the listener to have the program on their computer.
