ad data base?

hi all..

i would like to put an ad on my home page and when you click on it,it comes up 1 of "my" pages ive created with news and stuff related to that add and it updates everyday,without having me to do it...

How do those sites do that??
is it some sought of data base??

anyhelp would be great

ive got it..
they are called rss feeds...(really simple syndication)

answered my own post..thats differant...lol
