Beginner here, please HELP!

I am a complete beginner so i need help with how to start.
I have already downloaded BlueVoda, but i cant set up a domain name, please help me?

Also, when i try to use the downloaded templates they are always to small for the window, and then you've got a blank bit down the side, does anyone know what to do?, thanks.
