web page preview

Hope somone can help?
Do I need to publish my site to the web to preview it?
The reason I am asking this is ,I do not as yet have a domain name and my hyperlinks are not linking. I have followed the tutorials to the letter

One link I have used is c:\users\rob\documents\bluevoda\architectural.html
I have tried ending with bvp but this does notwork either.
What am I doing wrong?

The hyperlinks won't work until you publish to the internet. You can preview what each page looks like but the navigation won't work until published
