How Do I password a site without it passwordingeverything in my site also.

Try thinking that one through again, and re-phrasing it to make it a bit more understandable.... (you can protect all of everything, or part of something, but what part of everything is the something you want to protect?)

And...if you try doing a Forum Search (top browser bar in the forum on every page), you will find a multitude of similar questions with different answers and solutions for you to select just the one to fit your unique situation!

I tried passwording my site and when I went to my site it asked for the username and password but when I want to go into any extra pages that branch from my site those pages are also passworded.
