i don't know how to get started...

I am lost in the program! i don't know how to add pictures, titles or anything that i have already saved in another document... how do i do that????

thanks but my real problem is...

before i got Blue Voda my neighbour and i designed a background, the name of the website (www.poppinking.com,) and a logo on microsoft powerpoint. I then decided how everything was going to work and downloaded Blue Voda. Later i went onto powerpoint, copied the background from powerpoint, got into Blue Voda and tried to paste the background only to find that paste wasnt highlited so it wouldnt paste. So i tried pasting the logo and the name but that wouldnt work either!!!
what do i do?!?!?!

Convert the files to .jpg and they should paste fine.
