  • How do I fix this?

When I type in my domain name, I get a page that is titled "Index of /". How do I make it look like a web page should?

Name your first page properly: index, all lower case.

Sorry. I figured it out. Now, though, my links don't work. Any ideas?

I know why, but I'm not sure the best way to fix it. You'll need *****'s help with this one, I think. There are some really bright members here, too, so someone will be able to help you.

Thank you for your help as well. I am new and I know everyone gets tired of answering the same old questions over and over.

Actually, I looked at your links wrong - this is an easy fix. Change the links so they read like this: http://www.yoursite.com/page.htm

Did you get rid of the / ? if so you must change all your links to other pages accordingly.

You can not have one nav button named ww.yourdomain.com
              and another named ww.yourdomain/index

Basically make sure all your links are in the propper formatt this is why you are getting 404 because yiou changed the index/ now you must change all of them. I hope this helps.

When you type in you domain you are getting the /index because that is the link you named it.pet121

When you say change the links, what do you mean by "link"?

Open one of your pages other than your home page and post the url to it, please.

Did you physically open this page on the web, or is this just the link to it?

It won't open for me - immediate 404 error.
