  • Problems with menu bar page links

Hi there - I published our website www.*****yardsmithmorgan.co.uk at the weekend and am having trouble with the menu bars / moving from one page to another.

The 'Home/index' page links to 'Services' when clicked on and visa versa BUT neither page will link to any other page! It brings up and Error 404 page - page not found.

I've read every post I can find on the subject. I've looked in my control panel at public pages and all the required .html pages are there. I've tried re-publishing over and over again. Nothing seems to work.

I've opened the menu bars in web design mode and double checked the enteries. I can see no difference between the pages that work and the pages that don't!

    http://www.*****yardsmithmorgan.co.uk/index.html (which works)
    http://www.*****yardsmithmorgan.co.uk/commercial.html (which doesn't)

Therefore I can't see why they don't work.

    Help please!

Re: Problems with menu bar page links

a 404 error usually refers to a bad link in your page. basically the button you click on is searching for a page or direction it can't find. when i looked at the source code on your index page you have an extra / in your href code. just remove it.
    <a href="http://www.*****yardsmithmorgan.co.uk//commercial.html" -cheers

Thanks. Yes, I noticed that at the weekend and changed it, as you can see above. If you are still seeing it in the source code how do I delete that entry permanently?
