file manager and chmod
Hi everyone, I am a mess! Trying to help my teenagers start their on social network site using phpfox and I am stuck.
I am supposed to upload the folders and files. How do I do that seperately? I have the upload folder unzipped and saved to my thumb drive. Once I do that I am supposed to change individual files to write code 0777.
So, when I upload, it via my file manager, it only shows me one big file. Even when I change the write code to 0777, I am still lost.

Here is a link to the directions of what I am supposed to be doing. I don't know if you can see it because it is a readme from my drive.

Any help is appreciated. I am surely a novice. I could pay them for installation, but I need to know how to reinstall if anything goes wrong.
