    Visitor count

Hi...I have a question about counting visitors...I read somewhere that it is in the cpanel but I cant find it...is it in the awstats bit, everything in there is 0. I can see who visited but not how many hits.
    Thankyou

    Cheers

you can also get 'hit counters' on your website. its just a HTML code that you can get from places such as www.bravenet.com and its free. i have one on my site's home page. it's so much easier than monitoring it through the control panel (for me anyway).
You can see what it looks like on www.tokenyaforever.org if you like.

            Hi,

This isn't in response to the original query but it's relevant to the topic. Can anyone recommend a free website counter that is ISP sensitive. I already have one on my website but it detects when I look at my website to test it, hence making the readings inaccurate. I have a map thing that tells me where each user is but I would like a basic website hit counter that I can set to NOT detect when I look at my website, based around my ISP. Suggestions?

I don't know whether this is too obvious but just make a note in your diary every time you visit the site and subtract that from the total.

That may work but is there a free online web counter that will do it for me?

StatCounter is also a good tracking program. Just google it.

Thanks! That will do it perfectly (I think)!
