Horde, cPanel

Does anyone know how to reset the mail counter in Horde, cPanel? Mine keeps growing even after I have read the e-mail message.

Also, by default, my main screen does not arrive at the mail messages folder displaying the messages. I would like that to be the screen I see when I enter Horde Mail.
