Required Information for Submit button

Everything is fine with the form, except the visitor should have to enter certain information before the submit button will take them to another page with free information.

In the properties for the Editbox I've named each field, and went to validate and checked the data required box. If you hit the submit button when the site is published it still takes you to the next page even though no information has been entered.

I downloaded ABVFP, but having severe trouble on the page that wants all the addresses and passwords.
