What part are you struggling with? Every time you re-save a Blue Voda page it overwrites the previous version ..... why on earth would you want to "start over" if all you need to do is open your pages and re-Save them with corrected names (all lower case) and re-publish them?
I am leaving this thread now, and hopefully after reviewing all these posts you will be able to pick up the logic that has been clearly amplified for your benefit. I realize there may be some difficulty with English, but it needs be you make a better effort to understand what has been posted here by different people over and over again. Good Luck!
No.. you will have to go to cpanel, file manager, public html and delete all index files, then republish ONLY the index file that you want as your home page.

Thanks vasili,
that seems to be the secret. I did not notice that index was capitalised. I can now get to my main web page. Unfortunately my hyperlinks do not behave as I expected, I will work on that
1. You now need to open each of your pages and examine every hyperlink to be sure they too are entered using lower case letters, and will correspond to the exact "new" page name you will name in the step below .....
2. Now that you have corrected any link errors on all your pages, remember to re-publish each page after saving them using lower case letters (they will automatically overwrite the pages saved earlier).
Karen's sugestion above is the process to "edit" what is on the server, and since BV automatically overwrites pages every time you save them, this will not be necessary unless you want 100% conformity by removing pages named/saved/published with capitalizations: not entirely necessary, since your links are all now properly structured and you have such a large storage allowance per account, so it is something you can do as an intellectual persuit only.
Hi Vasili,
Two of my html documents, 'who' and 'stoichiometric', were intended to open on the same page in a mouse over drop down box. I guessed that checking the box on the hyperlink drop down would do this but obviously not. In the tutorials, they mostly covered using a new page and I could not find one to help me with this problem. If you need to be reminded, my URL is browns-gas.info.
All I can reiterate, Pader, is you really need to review the Tutorials until you grasp the concepts entirely --- any navigation system (using hyperlinks, as text-based, "drop-down," sliding, or otherwise) will reference another 'destination' (object, page, or file -- even if configuring a "parent browser" or Inline Frame, it is still refrencing a separateness).
For your purposes, you can clone/duplicate the parent page, change the Content area as needed, and save as a new and separate page to be published normally --- and that "new" page title will be entered into that hyperlink in your navigational scheme as normally done.
If you wanted the information to open "above" your page as either a Word document or a PDF, then you need simply enter the hyperlink in your menu as whatever type of format you have prepared. Be sure to upload each "file" to your public_html/ directory (via the FTP Manager tool inside Blue Voda) so it is available to be 'found' and opened for visitors when 'clicked' to present as a "page" in a new browser over the original page.
For a PDF document, the link you enter should look like this: www browns-gas.info/documenttitle.pdf
For a Word document: www browns-gas.info/documenttitle.doc * Be sure to select "new" or "-blank" option for browser settings in your navigation dialog, so it opens a new browser over the original page.
On the back-end of website design, making individual pages is important also with regard to optimization strategy, as it allows this unique page content to be properly recognized and indexed independently of any other page, adding significantly to the overall site relavence and thus the metric SE value.
I understand that Vasili, I do not expect instant knowledge, but there is a considerable amount of information to sift through. I also do not understand some of the jargon used as I am a complete novice in web authoring. I have looked through the tutorial list several times and I am unable to find one that actually explains the difference between _blank and other types.
I did notice that one of my links did actually produce a small webpage where I wanted it (who.html) but it was a webpage and not the panel that I expected. Incidentally, I tried to duplicate that with the hyperlink in the text (eastbristolarea) but could not despite duplicating all of the fields
To normally link to another page of your website, leave TARGET field empty as it is by default.
To have your new page, file, or other link open up a new browser window, select TARGET = "_blank" from the list.
It is as simple as that.
For tips on how to use other features , (such as CLONE to duplicate a page easily so you can change parts of the page as needed), refer to specific Tutorials to detail everything you need to learn to apply. Or, do a Forum "Search" using Key Words that concern your challenge point to bring up the various threads where you will find the many different ways to address the same situation.
Hi Vasili,
I have watched that particular video at least 10 times. I know the basic process of hyperlinking as I have already done it on my site. My issue is that no explanation is made of all the various options in the drop down menu. All of the tutorials, as far as I remember, leave the option blank or use _blank but there are several more options in that drop down that I have absolutely no idea of their function. For instance, my eastbristolarea link has the open link in a pop-up window checked but the page opens full screen on another page.
BTW: I don't know if you have noticed or not, but you have saved and published your index page as Indecks and need to go back and Save/Publish properly as index.
I got extremely frustrated with this whole thing and also had several rubbish files on my account. I have deleted all of my existing published files. I am trying to republish all of my files but I am back to the old problem of renaming index.html to just index.
What is the actual sequence of publishing the index file without the suffix. Is it done using page properties? There is no facility when I publish to name the file as index only and the main properties page for my index file only gives the option for html or pdp. Erasing either option still results in the page being published as an html.
I think I might have renamed the index.html file to just index in cpanel but had so many rubbish files there, I dont know which actually started my web page up.
Do yourself a favor and STAY OUT OF YOUR CONTROL PANEL completely!
To publish a page using Blue Voda, use the PUBLISH icon only (found on the top toolbar inside Blue Voda's workpane).
Forget about extensions when you Save pages and when you Publish them --- Blue Voda automatically does everything for you.
Save each page with names in lower case letters without using spaces (use and underscore like_this if necessary), and THEN Publish them normally using the Publish icon in Blue Voda.
THAT IS ALL. Simple, and clear ...... if needed, review the Tutorials 100x to follow them precisely!
