Problem with re-publishing text

I have added text to my webpage with no underscore, bold or italic. However when the page is published it shows an unsightly underscore throughout the whole text box area.

I have tried re editing and re publishing in numerous ways and have even tried rebuilding the page from scratch but to no evail.

Can anyone help?
