I wanted to develop my own blogsite. I need some help as to how to go about it!

Try using wordpress which is in your cpanel, fantastico. You can also install it yourself. There are several blog scripts out there if you arent happy with this one. There are also blogging sites where you can register and blog for free..like blogspot which is owned by google.
