Sub domain redirect

I have registered a domain name (www.stock-market-code.com) & created it as an add on domain in the control panel. I want to redirect it straight to an affiliate site, so I did this under the 'manage redirection' also in the control panel.

Is this all I need to do? I have not published any pages for this domain. Also, will I be able to see visitor stats for this domain?

Well that should work to redirect the domain. As far as stats, Im not sure what you would get since they will just be hitting the htacess and going to another server..so you wont be able to tell what pages are hit.

Thanks for your reply Karen. I was hoping that I would be able to see in the Awstats where the traffic came from. I could just redirect the domain from the domain register where I bought it, but I was hoping that by redirecting from Vodahost as an add on domain, I could get traffic details. Is this not possible?
